Solar PV, or photovoltaics, is technology that produces electricity from sunlight; an energy source we have plenty of in Australia.

Solar energy is an important part in our energy mix and is helping us reduce our reliance on fossil fuels.

Large-scale solar projects such as Nottingham Park Solar use the same technology as used on residential roof-top solar systems. However, ground-mounted projects such as ours can use extra technologies to increase energy production.

  • Single-axis tracking technology - which adjusts the angle of the solar modules to track the sun as it changes position from sunrise to sunset.

  • Bi-facial panels - which capture sunlight from both faces of the solar panels.

These features mean that more energy can be produced without needing to increase the size of the system, making for smarter use of land.
